Hey Texas and New Mexico! Sun City Comedy is taking its act on the road this summer, as we bring together talent from all of the southwest to put together the Sun City Comedy Summer Comedy Tour '09! Starting June 2009. More information coming soon!

In the meantime be sure to check out the shows we have for the month of April and May, bringing you the talent of comedians from all over Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.

Sun City Comedy had its first ever Air Guitar Contest at Cincinnati Bar this past Monday March 16, hosted by Gibran the Comegician! The contest, the first of its kind in El Paso, had people talking the whole night, the winner of the contest left with $100 cash courtesy of Sun City Comedy and Cincinnati Bar.

Remember to register for the next one, all winners are automatically entered in the finals to take place later this year in which they can win up to $1000 in cash and other prizes! What are you waiting for? Keep checking the Sun City Comedy Calendar for upcoming dates! 

And now on to the winners…. 

So this Saturday March 14^th was a very special day for everyone at Sun City Comedy. Not only did we have a great show! But we also celebrated the birthday of Brianne “The Boss” Saad, co-owner and head of Sun City Comedy! For those of you who don’t know Brianne she is in charge or pretty much everything in Sun City Comedy, and thanks to her Sun City Comedy is able to stay in business giving El Paso and surrounding areas much needed doses of comedy and humor.

We had our first Comedy Open Mic Contest at Maverick’s this past Wednesday and comedians from all over El Paso and Las Cruces competed for a chance to Win $100 dollars in cash! Second and third place winners got a $30.00 and $20.00 credit towards a Bar tab. 

Remember that this contest is open to everyone! Bring your friends and have them cheer you on! This contest is based on audience vote, so the more friends that you bring the better your chances are to win!

The next Comedy Open Mic Contest at Maverick’s Bar & Grill will be held on April 8^th, but remember there are other contest! Check the calendar of events for more information!
